John Hodges, 53, was a “traveling tool box”
Visitation and funeral will be Friday, Sept. 9.
John P. Hodges, of Roscoe, IL, worked for Rainbo Oil for 2o years. John loved riding his Harley, which he always kept spic and span. He was a careful driver and wouldn’t start riding in the spring until it had rained three times, so no winter salt would get on the bike. He also loved to play guitar, like his father, and work with wood - John built his daughter's bed and many other things. He was a “traveling tool box” - well prepared, very particular and ready to help his family out. John was an avid sports club shooter, gun collector and member of the Northern Illinois Rifle & Pistol Club.
John passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 at age 53. The son of Andrew David and Lelia (Booker) Hodges, he was born December 2, 1968 in Rockford and graduated from Harlem High School.
