John Fulton (1928-2021) did "whatever needs doing" as CEO of Delta Power Company
Private funeral services are to be held.
John J. Fulton, 92, of Roscoe (November 27, 1928 - October 20, 2021) has returned to his Lord’s keeping. Born to Helen and John Fulton in Pennsylvania, he served his country in the Army, stationed on the island of Honshu, Japan. In 1952, he graduated from St. Procopius College, now Benedictine University, where he studied math and physics. He also studied at the University of Illinois from 1960-1962.
After he received his degree in 1952, heworked as an engineer at Delta Power Company, eventually becoming the President and CEO until his retirement. He also served on the board of directors for Rapid Power International Limited in Scotland from 1990 until 2000.On LinkedIn, he gave his job description for CEO as "Whatever needs doing" and summarized his career: "Have worked in the field of hydraulics since 1952 and planning retirement soon upon completion of 65 years service to that industry. 65 is the normal retirement age, right?" He would have been 89 years old.
Fulton loved a good glass of wine, 18 holes of golf and his long-term, loyal Delta employees, not necessarily in that order. He had many lifetime friends and business colleagues, too many to name here, but he cared deeply for all of them.
