Hononegah girls bowling team advances to state with 3rd place in sectionals

With a combined team score of 5935, the Hononegah girls bowling team placed third at the IHSA sectionals at Sycamore, IL. They continue on to state competition this Friday and Saturday, February 16-17, 2024 at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford.

Hononegah's top scorers were senior Cassidy Davenport, who ranked 3rd in the sectional with 1314 pins; junior Kailyn Davis, who ranked 11th with 1254; and junior Emilee Mullranin at 17th with 1215.

Boding well for first-place Harlem as they head to the state finals at The Cherry Bowl, their team score of 6393 was the highest of all the sectional team champions in the state. And with 1476 pins, the top individual scorer, Harlem sophomore Ashlin Teves, had the highest score of all the individual sectional champions in the state. Also advancing to state from the Sycamore sectionals, besides Harlem and Hononegah, is Oswego and Oswego East.
