The cozy Carriage House at the historic 1855 H D Jameson House in Rockton was filled with members of elev815 and their guests during the Multi Business Highlight event on Oct. 19. That featured six elev815 members who own small businesses in the Stateline area.

Elev815 board member Chuck Gilbert introduced the owners, who talked about how they got started and what their businesses have to offer.

Main Street Meat owners Jim and Amy King told the story of how their business began and how it has grown over the years.  “Our kids urged us to open our own meat store,” Jim said. “The meat market in Main Street Square came up for sale, and we bought it 17 years ago.” The specialty meat market is located at 9515 N. 2nd St. in Roscoe.  The King’s son Matthew is now the store manager and can be reached at 815-623-6328. The Kings treated members and guests to a variety of meats, cheese and vegetables for the elev815 event.
