Robert “Bob” L. Parrott, 71, of Roscoe, passed away on May 3, 2022, at OSF St. Anthony Hospital. He was born on May 29, 1950, in Rockford, the son of Robert Parrott Sr. and Violet (Nelson) Parrott.
Bob married Mary Ann Stevens on May 22, 1978, in Rockford. He was a member of the Belvidere Moose 295 where he was the club manager and bartender, and worked there for 30 years.
Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son, Steve (Kirsten) Parrott; granddaughters, Adalynn and Charlotte; special friends, Kathy and Ed Fitch, Angie and Mark Sundeen, Gerry Allen, Dick Mayberry, and Lil Miller. He is predeceased by his parents, and in-laws, Roy and Rose Marie Stevens.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 5:00 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. A public visitation will be held prior to the service, starting at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be established at a later date.
