Sarah Kelley, 81, resided in Roscoe, IL for the majority of her life. She graduated from Hononegah High School in 1958 and married Michael Kelley on July 26, 1959 at the Rockton Methodist Church. They eventually moved to Poplar Grove, IL.

Sara passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. She was born in Battle Creek, MI on May 2, 1940, to Gordon and Bessie Bottimer.

Sarah’s first job was at McNeany’s Department Store in Beloit, WI. She later became the co-owner of Kelley Sand and Gravel. Sarah was active in the community and served as a volunteer for CASA where her advocacy helped make a difference in the lives of many children in need. She was also the Roscoe village clerk for numerous years. In her spare time she enjoyed riding bikes, knitting, and needlepoint, but most of all she loved traveling with her husband on motor cars throughout the United States and Canada.

Sarah is survived by her son, Michael Sean Kelley; daughter, Lisa (Mark) Jacino; and grandson, Jacob K. Jacino. She was predeceased by her parents, Gordan and Bessie Bottimer; and daughter, Theresa M. Stitch.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 m. with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the service on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe, IL 61073. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, Roscoe, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials gifts may be made to the Hononegah High School Music Department.
