Family was the most important part of Robert James Meyer's life (1991-2022)

Robert James Meyer, 30, of Roscoe passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 3, 1991 in Rockford, the son of Robert Meyer and Pam (Cole) Meyer. He attended First Free Church where he enjoyed going every Sunday. He volunteered at the Rockford Rescue Mission. Robert also was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed glass blowing and disc golf. Most of all, Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and loved being an uncle. Family was the most important aspect of Robert’s life.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Pam Meyer and Robert Meyer; siblings, Nicki Darnell, Jamie (Michael) Quinn, Samantha (Matt) Hippman, Douglas Meyer; grandmother, Betty Cole; nieces, Paige Newton, Adriana and Brayella Hippman; great nephew, Jaxxon Bull; brother-in-law, Chris Darnell; several aunts and uncles; and several loving friends. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, James Cole and Larry Meyer, and brother Kenneth Meyer.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, January 7, 2022 in Roscoe United Methodist Church, 10816 Main Street, Roscoe with a visitation from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
