National Night Out, an evening of family entertainment and good will, kicks off on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m, in downtown Roscoe. The Roscoe Police Dept. will be hosting the free community block party for the whole family.
Main Street will be closed between Bridge St. and River St. for the two-hour event.
Activities include games, entertainment, food, prizes, safety demonstrations, music, and a dunk tank.
As a bonus, kids will have the opportunity to rub elbows with their favorite law enforcement heroes.
National Night Out has been a summer tradition for 40 years in large and small communities across the country. The event is always held the first Tuesday in August.
The annual block party was born as a way to get to know and forge positive relationships between law enforcement and people living in the communities.
