With sadness, we announce the following deaths for Roscoe, Rockton, and South Beloit in the past month:

August 2, 2024:
Dorothy Arndt, 89, Rockton 
An administrative assistant at Dan-Car Sprinkler Co. she belonged to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockton and lived in the Durand and Rockton areas for fifty six years.

David Corey, 62, Roscoe
He was a supervisor at Klein Tools for over 20 years.

July 29, 2024:
Larry Ralston, 98, Roscoe
He served as Winnebago County Board Chairman, developed the Shepherd Hills subdivision, and sold produce at The Little Red Shed.

July 28, 2024:
Sherri Goessel, 68, South Beloit
She worked at Hilander Grocery, Rockton Mobil, Brandy’s Hallmark, and several banks.

July 27, 2024:
Terry Meyer, 78, South Beloit
A train enthusiast, he worked for Beloit Corp for most of his career.

July 21, 2024:
George Wonzer
, 49, Roscoe
A Walmart employee for 7 years, he enjoyed puzzles, books, the Cubs and Packers.

Steve Wallis, 63, South Beloit
In his long Army career, his proudest role was drill sergeant.

July 20, 2024:
George Creal
, 79, Roscoe
A Navy veteran and a nurse, he graduated from Southern Baptist Seminary and Newburgh University.

Jeffrey Ray, 53, South Beloit
Jeff was an avid fan of rock music, Harley Davidson motorcycles, tattoos, and having a good time.

July 19, 2024:
Jeaneal Lance, 87, Roscoe
A member of First Congregational Community Church in Roscoe, IL, she was known for the custom slippers she lovingly crafted for every family member.

July 17, 2024:
Donald Bosma, 72, Roscoe
Formerly a resident of Florida.

July 15, 2024:
Judy Williams, 76, Roscoe
She scheduled lectors for many years at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Roscoe and especially enjoyed playing blackjack.

July 12, 2024:
Annette Henz, 93, South Beloit
She enjoyed traveling and camping, playing cards, and going to polka fests all over the country.

July 11, 2024:
Sharon Etheredge, 79, Roscoe
She battled cancer for 10 years, but never stopped smiling and welcoming people into her life.

Tom Evans, 73, South Beloit
Fellow members of the Obsessive Car Disorder Club organized a memorial cruise of nearly 100 cars past his home on Dorr Road.
