In April 2021, Rockton-Roscoe News began publishing daily local news online at roscoenews.com. Now our stories are read up to 100,000 times a month, with 1,500 daily email subscribers in the Stateline area and more than 4,500 followers on Facebook.

Rockton-Roscoe News  is the first daily news outlet for Roscoe and Rockton since the area was settled 185 years ago. A separate publication, The Herald, began in Rockton in the 1870s, but on a weekly schedule. Roscoe has never had its own newspaper, though The Herald was known as the Rockton-Roscoe Herald in the 1980s and 1990s. The Beloit Daily News, which also serves South Beloit, began in the 1840s and and in June 1995, became Wisconsin's first newspaper web site with daily local news.
