Corn and more corn were on the menu at VFW Post 2955 Corn Boil

Over 200 corn lovers got their fill of boiled sweet corn, corn dogs and more, at the annual Roscoe VFW Post 2955 Corn Boil, Saturday, August 19. 2023.

VFW members, families, and friends gathered for an afternoon of good eating, music, games and raffles. The post is located at 11385 2nd Street, Roscoe, IL.

Brent Becker supplied fresh sweetcorn from his farm on rural McCurry Road. Main Street Meat contributed the hot dogs and hamburgers.

The VFW Auxiliary ladies prepared the picnic-style food that included hot sweetcorn, meat choices, potato salad, soft drinks and ice cream from J&C Old Fashioned Ice Cream.
