Strong spirits: Huh?

Jesus is known for saying things that make people think. And for saying things that seem very simple, but carry a lot of impact. And for saying things that seem counter to common sense.

Why is that? I think it's because he always spoke truth, and truth can be hard for us to understand.

For example: "Blessed are the poor in Spirit" Blessed are those that mourn" Blessed are those who are persecuted" (Matthew 5) What? Really??

If we are wise, we will learn to pay attention to what Jesus says, and act on it, and let it shape us into the people he created us to be. Jesus often said, "I tell you the truth..." He always does, because he is the Truth.

Are you wise? Are you listening? Are you acting on what he says??
