William Babcock and his wife are parents of five children, three grown and two currently attending Hononegah Community High School. The family lives in Hawks Pointe.

William was born and raised in Beloit, WI and attended Beloit Turner High School. He continued his education at Blackhawk Technical Institute (now Blackhawk Technical College) with a degree in electronic technology.

After college, he worked for a military contractor and was sent to several military bases in the United States, Venezuela, and Norway. He worked for Hewlett Packard for 20 years, spending most of those years in Bentonville, Ark.

“I have lived in approximately 28 different locations and have a wide range of experiences and expertise.”

William and his family returned to Wisconsin in 2012. “ I thought it would be a brief stay to care for aging parents. As it turns out, this is the longest place I have ever lived.”

In addition, William has experience in real estate, construction and development. He has created seven companies, authored several patents and trademarks, and written a handful of books.

William is currently semi-retired but remains CEO and founder of Transparent Visibility, Inc.

“I will be the first to admit that running for public office was never on my bucket list, but I came to realize that local elections are critically important. Following issues with zoning changes in Hawks Point, I believe the current administration is out of touch and did not listen to the constituents. There is no clear roadmap for the future.  We do not need to grow for the sake of growth.”

William said he and the other candidates on his slate - Carol Gustafson, Mike Sima and Michael Wright - are focused on creating a strategic long-term plan "to guide the future of Roscoe versus haphazard decision-making."

William summarized the priorities that have guided him through life: “my faith, my family and my country.”
