Former Hononegah Indian star Jordan King will lead her Marquette Golden Eagles onto the floor against #8 seed South Florida in the 1st round of the Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament from Greenville, South Carolina on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.

Jordan, who is from Rockton, has had an amazing senior campaign for the Golden Eagles. She has amassed quite a few awards this final season for Marquette.

During her Hononegah career, Jordan scored 2,505 points - a NIC-10 record. Last May, she became the first member of her family to graduate from college. She's now working on a master’s in school counseling.

Marquette comes into the contest 21-10 overall with big wins over Texas and UConn on the season. King has led the way for the Golden Eagles this season. She leads the team in points (15.9), assists (4.0), and steals (1.9) while being named 1st team all-Big East conference.

South Florida is 26-6 on the season winning the regular season title in the American conference.

If King and her teammates get past the Bulls of South Florida, they might run into overall #1 seed South Carolina in their backyard of Greenville.

The first NCAA tournament game can be seen on ESPN2 at 10:30 a.m.
