More than 24 years ago, Chief Jamie Evans began serving with the Village of Roscoe Police Department. She was promoted to Chief in 2008, making her the first female police chief in Winnebago County. Under her leadership, the department built a new police station and received Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP) Tier One accreditation.
After a respected career, Jamie Evans plans to retire from the police force in April.
