Diane Caples' favorite season was spring

Diane E. Caples had a close relationship with God which was very important to her. Her favorite season of the year was spring because she enjoyed all of the newly blooming flowers. She loved to read books, play games, and drink coffee. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because she adored spending time with her family. She was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones. 

Diane passed away on October 6, 2022, at the age of 77 in Roscoe, IL after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 12, 1945, in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Henry Oates and Betty Kelly. She grew up in Sharon, WI.



Diane is survived by her loving children Allen Larson, Randy Larson (Barb), Hope Schomaker, Billie Caples, Tonya Bryant; grandchildren, Cristina Cornellier, Jared Larson, Courtney Larson, Chelsea Larson, Stephanie Larson, Lucas Schomaker, Aurora Long, Sylvia Long, Thomas Long, Dash Campos, Lidia Silva, Adrianna Gutierrez, Alex Rodriguez, Elisa Caples; great-grandchildren; Hadley, Shawn, Jamie, Ellie, Alaina, Allison, Ayden, Liliana, Isabella, Gabriel, Daniel, Alyana, Sophia; siblings; Candace Dyhr, Elizabeth Nass, Jim Oates, Carol Oates, Kelly Oates. She was predeceased by her grandson Brett Larson; siblings, Bill Oates and Janet Oates.

Stateline Cremations, 712 Windsor Road, Loves Park, Illinois 61111, is assisting the family.
