Roscoe schedules a special meeting for Tuesday

The Village of Roscoe has scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. in the Village Hall. Trustees will go over grant applications for Porter Park, Leland Park, and Main Street improvements. The grants could pay for disc golf, a splashpad, and a pedestrian bridge.

  • 5.1. Approval of Resolution 2022-R63 Authorizing the submission of an OSLAD Grant Application through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and committing required funds for the expansion of Porter Park and the Porter Park Disc Golf Course.
  • 5.2. Approval of Resolution 2022-R64 Authorizing the submission of an OSLAD Grant Application through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and committing required funds for the construction of a Community Splash Pad at Leland Park
  • 5.3. Approval of Resolution 2022-R65 Authorizing the submission of an ITEP Grant Application through the Illinois Department of Transportation, and committing required funds for the construction of Main Street Streetscape Improvements and Pedestrian Bridge.

As usual, at the beginning of the meeting, the public can comment on these resolutions for three minutes each. At the end, the Village trustees may go into executive session if necessary, which will not be public. Closed meetings are legal under the Open Meetings Act only in certain circumstances, such as the private discussion of personnel or disciplinary matters or while negotiating a purchase price.
