Former Hononegah standout Corey Anderson fighting Vadim Nemkov at Bellator 288 MMA event

Corey Anderson

Corey “OVERTIME” Anderson, a former Hononegah Indian and new Marian University wrestling coach, is slated to fight Vadim Nemkov in BELLATOR 288, one of the leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotions in the world. Anderson is a light heavyweight #1 contender. The match on Nov. 18, 2022 will look to settle a score from their previous bout in April 2022 at BELLATOR 277.

Their previous match ended in a no contest after an accidental headbutt. A banging of heads in the third round caused a cut over Nemkov’s left eye, eliciting the no contest ruling in the match.

The rematch between the two fighters will be at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena on November 18.
