Fatal collision Saturday afternoon in Roscoe
The other driver and passenger were taken to the hospital but their injuries were not life-threatening.

Roscoe Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle head-on collision near McDonald Rd. and Sage Hen Trail in Roscoe, Illinois, on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023 at approximately 4:30 p.m. The driver of the eastbound vehicle, coming from the direction of Main Street/251, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say, "The driver and passenger of the westbound vehicle were transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation."
UPDATE: The victim was identified on Tuesday as Matthew Jackson, a 26 year-old Harvard resident.
