Christmas Sunday at Macktown

Twas the Night Before Christmas..... Stop in on December 12th for our Christmas-themed 2nd Sunday event. We'll have readings of the classic poem by Clement Clarke Moore, and let you in on how the tale came about. You can also partake in refreshments in the 1846 Whitman Store. This event is free and open to the public, so stop in and enjoy some holiday cheer.

Readings of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" will take place at 2:10, 2:50 and 3:30 p.m. at the historic 1839 Mack House.

Macktown was Winnebago County's first settlement in the 1830s and the location of many Native American campsites for thousands of years before that.
