Connie Lumpkins, Judy Stellingwerf, Wayne York

With sadness, we announce the following deaths for Rockton, Roscoe, and South Beloit in recent weeks:

Nov. 29, 2025:
Wayne I. York, 89, Rockton
He grew up in South Beloit, IL, and helped raise four siblings after his mother became severely ill. He retired from General Motors in Janesville after 30 years. He tended his garden every year until he was 88.

Dec. 3, 2025:
Connie L. Lumpkins, 64, Roscoe
As a human resources manager, she was known for making workplaces feel kinder and brighter, for her questionable jokes, infectious laugh, and her unapologetic love of trashy TV shows.

Dec. 4, 2025:
Judith E. Stellingwerf, 80, South Beloit
She grew up in the small town of Osseo, Wisconsin. When grandkids needed to sort something out, she would always say, “Now let Grandma talk to them.”
