This three day event commemorates the 160th anniversary of the election of 1864, in which Abraham Lincoln was reelected to the Presidency. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the election from reenactors as well as learning about life in 1864 and the evolution of our community. The long lasting implications of the election are still felt today as it ensured the reunification of the United States. [more details]

Election Day - Tue Nov 5 6:00 am
Winnebago County Clerk
6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at a polling place near you. After you sign your name, poll workers will verify your signature. Then one poll worker will initial the corner of your ballot and hand it to you. Take it to a polling station. Fill in the desired bubbles completely with the provided pen. Then slide the ballot into the voting machine. You can't vote online or by text. [more details]

Come join us on Tuesday, November 5th, for a detailed, lengthy presentation by Brad Keyes on the infamous kidnapping and murder of baby Lindbergh in 1932. He will review the facts of the case including the manhunt, arrest, trial and conviction of Bruno Hauptmann. Lots of details to cover, including theories and speculations that have evolved in the last decades. Refreshments will be served.
