Roscoe Memorial Day Parade - Mon May 27 10:00 am

Village of Roscoe

The Roscoe VFW Parade starts 10 a.m. Come watch the parade, then all are welcome for refreshments at the VFW Club. The parade will assemble at the corner of Main and Presley Street in Roscoe. It will begin north of Village Hall and will proceed down Main Street, to Harrison Street, to the Roscoe Cemetery, 5550 Harrison Street, where the VFW will hold a memorial ceremony honoring Roscoe's fallen heroes. Memorial Day Service - Mon May 27 2:00 pm

Shirland Congregational Church

Come join us for our annual Memorial Day service led by veterans. After the service we walk to the cemetery and place flowers on veterans' graves. A moving, educational experience for young and old. [more details]

Rockton Memorial Day Parade - Mon May 27 9:00 am

Rockton Township Cemetery

The Rockton Memorial Day parade begins at 9 a.m. on Blackhawk Blvd. on the south side of the bridge over the Rock River, laying a wreath into the water to honor fallen Navy members, and circles back through Downtown Rockton west to Center St. then up to Union St. to the Rockton Township cemetery, with a short ceremony afterward. Expect delays or avoid the areas listed. The event is organized by Rockton American Legion Post #332. [more details]


United Veterans Memorial Day Parade - Mon May 27 9:00 am

The United Veterans Memorial Day parade will step off at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024. The parade starts in South Beloit on Blackhawk Boulevard near Winnebago Avenue and ends just before College Street and Horace White Park in Beloit. In addition to the parade route being closed to traffic, Bushnell Street will be closed to traffic near Horace White Park for bus parking. The City of Beloit is partnering with South Beloit for enhanced safety and security along the parade route.  [more details]
