Family Nature Event at Nygren Wetland Preserve - Sat Jun 24 9:00 am

This free family friendly event will get you exploring the natural world at Nygren Wetland Preserve. You’ll see prairies, wetlands and woodlands when you visit 14 – 15 learning stations on a variety of nature and art themed topics. Free. Presented by Dr. John D. Ulferts, retired Superintendent of the Shirland School District. June is the anniversary month of the D-Day invasion of World War II. On June 6, 1944, the Allied forces launched the largest amphibious invasion in the history of warfare. The D-Day assault began the liberation of France and Europe from German occupation. Atwood Homestead Golf Course
Join the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department for the annual golf play day. This year we will be hosting our event at Atwood Homestead Golf Course to support the educational needs of the schools in our fire district. Last year, donations totaled over $24,000. [more details]
