Welcome to Fisher Field
South Beloit School District is to dedicate their high school baseball field after retired Superintendent Scott Fisher.
South Beloit high school's baseball pitch will feature a new name this spring. The school board moved and passed a motion to rename the field "Fisher Field" as a dedication to recently retired superintendent Scott Fisher (not to be confused with freshly "pre-retired" South Beloit fire chief Scott Fisher) for his 25 years of service to the South Beloit School District.

Fisher came to South Beloit originally as the principal of Riverview Middle School in 2000 including a stint as varsity baseball coach. He served as Riverview's principal for 10 years and then as superintendent for 15 years until retirement.
Prior to the unveiling of the signage to be installed in the Spring of 2026, members and board members recounted their personal experiences with Mr. Fisher.
Some of Fisher's accomplishments include strengthening district finances, building district savings to remove the district from financial watchlists, establishing a career and technical location program, and eventually creating a K-12 district that has one of the lowest property tax mill rates in Winnebago County.
The exact date and time of the dedication ceremony is to be determined.
