Vietnam vet stands down after 30 years as VFW Honor Guard
Ed Suchoski has been part of Roscoe VFW Post 2955 Honor Guard since the 1990s.

Ed Suchoski has faithfully served as a VFW Honor Guard at Roscoe VFW Post 2955, for the past 30 years. Due to health issues, he recently resigned the position. Fellow veterans and their families honored him at a special ceremony at the post on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
Post Commander Bill Graves thanked him for his service. "Ed demonstrated the ideals of the Honor Guard."
Ed joined the Army in the summer of 1967. He was sent to Vietnam where he served in combat as a paratrooper. He was a member of the 502 battalion and 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles. Ed is the recipient of three Bronze Stars.
Ed was born in West Virginia and later moved to the Rockton area. His wife, Cathy, is a member of the 2955 Post Auxiliary.
