Hononegah boys basketball falls to Guilford 54-45
After the Dec, 11 basketball game, Hononegah boys are now 1-2 in the NIC-10.
Wednesday night’s basketball battle looked like it was going to be a big W for the Hononegah Indians boy's basketball team. However, a deep and talented Guilford Vikings team did what a championship level team does: they found a way when they weren’t at their best, winning 54-45 on Wednesday, Dec 11, 2024
The Vikings got a big game from Connor Doyle who finished with 17 points including five from beyond the arc.
The Indians led 32-27 at halftime but couldn’t stop the pace, ball movement and swarming defense that the Vikings turned up in the 2nd half.
Hononegah Indians are now 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the NIC-10 conference.
Next up for Hononegah is a road game against Freeport, who is 4-3 overall, 2-1 in NIC-10 play. Tipoff is set for 7:15 pm.
