Hononegah Lady Indians lose 56-41 at Rockford Auburn to wrap up the regular season
Lady Indians finished with an 18-13 record and were 15-3 for a fifth straight NIC 10 title for the Rockton, Illinois girls basketball team.

Hononegah girls basketball lost their regular season finale 56-41 at Rockford Auburn on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Freshman sharpshooter Ainsley Hughes scored 19, followed by sophomore Mikayla Mowers, who chipped in 11, and junior Natalie Harris, who notched 6 points, but it wasn't enough to prevent a loss in the 31st and final regular season game for the Lady Indians.
The Lady Indians finished with an 18-13 record and were 15-3 for their fifth straight NIC 10 title.
This isn’t the last game for the Lady Indians in the 24-25 season. Monday night February 17, 2025, at home in Rockton, Hononegah plays host to Harlem in an IHSA 4A Girls Basketball Tournament super-sectional game. Tipoff is set for 7:30 pm. This Indians game follows another IHSA 4A Girls Basketball Tournament super-sectional matchup (Rockford Guilford vs. McHenry) at the Fieldhouse on the Hononegah campus. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
