21 things to keep an eye on for the 2024 Hononegah Indians football season
The Hononegah Indians football season is right around the corner.
If you’ve noticed the sound of pads popping, whistles blowing and players yelling ready-set- hut calls in your ears that’s because the football season is right around the corner. The Hononegah Indians football training camp begins August 12.
Here some storylines to make note of for the Hononegah Indians 2024 season:
- Replacing NIC-10 all-conference/MVPQB Cole Warren. Cole is starting his college career at UW-Oshkosh. Follow Cole @colew1013 or UW-Oshkosh football @UWOFootball
- Record last four years: 32-5 overall (28-2 in the NIC-10) - defending NIC-10 champs.
- Replacing all-conference D1 performer Isiah Houi. Isiah has begun his career at Eastern Illinois. Follow Isaiah’s journey @IsaiahHoui or Eastern IL football @EIU_FB.

- Formal team practice begins on August 12 2024.

- Coach Brian Zimmerman’s record(8th season): 59-12 overall and 52-6 in the NIC-10 conference.
- Replacing six all-conference senior players.
- Replacing 24 seniors off the 11-1 NIC-10 conference championship team.

- Homecoming Game this year is Friday September 20 2024. The Indians host Guilford for a 7 p.m. kickoff
- The Indians are again loaded with talent but just a few names to keep an eye on are Kurtis Smith, Cole Schmall, and Jacob Benson.
