The Jack Backpack Project

Organizers say the goal is simple: ensure every young learner begins the year prepared, supported, and excited for school.

A community-led effort is underway to help preschool children in the Stateline start the school year with confidence. The Jack Backpack Project is inviting residents to sponsor a child by purchasing a new backpack, filling it with essential school supplies, and returning it by the program’s deadline.

Organizers say the goal is simple: ensure every young learner begins the year prepared, supported, and excited for school. Community members can sign up to sponsor a child, gather the needed supplies, and drop off the completed backpack to help a local preschooler get off to a strong start.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Sign up to sponsor a child
  2. Purchase a new backpack
  3. Fill with needed supplies
  4. Return filled backpack by deadline

The project continues a growing tradition of neighbors supporting neighbors—one backpack at a time.
