Teens fled stolen car, only to be arrested in Rockton Cemetery
All three youths were apprehended soon after the Rockton police arrived.
After a car hit the retaining wall at W. Union and Grove in Rockton last Friday morning, July 22, 2022, a witness reported that the occupants of the vehicle abandoned it and fled north towards Rockton Cemetery. According to Rockton Police Chief Matt Hollinger, police officers quickly apprehended all three in the cemetery. As it turned out, the vehicle was reported stolen from Janesville. The three Beloit teens were charged with Criminal Trespass to Vehicle. One teen was also charged with Resisting Arrest.
