Summerpalooza – Celebrating Our 250th brings music, history, and hometown pride to Downtown Rockton
Summerpalooza blends everything that makes Rockton shine—local businesses, local music, local history, and the people who make this village feel like home.
Downtown Rockton is gearing up for a full‑day celebration as Summerpalooza – Celebrating Our 250th takes over the 100 W. Main block in Rockton, transforming the heart of the village into a summer street festival packed with music, history, shopping, and a heartfelt tribute to local veterans.

This is the second of three block parties. Marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, and Rockton is doing what it does best—bringing the community together in a way that feels both festive and deeply rooted in local pride.
The day begins at 10 a.m. with the Summer Sidewalk Sale, a downtown‑wide shopping event featuring special deals from Rockton’s small businesses. Many shops along Main Street and nearby will roll out discounts, outdoor displays, and summer‑themed offerings, giving residents and visitors a chance to explore the village’s storefronts while enjoying the block‑party atmosphere. The Summer Sidewalk Sale runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

At 4 p.m., the focus shifts to honoring the men and women of the Rockton American Legion. A special recognition ceremony will highlight the veterans whose service continues to shape the community’s spirit. It’s a moment that brings meaning to the celebration—reminding everyone that Rockton’s strength comes from the people who have stood up for it.
Following the ceremony, the street turns into a summer concert venue. Blue Velvet kicks off the evening with crowd‑pleasing classics and smooth rock favorites, followed by Rollin Whiskey, bringing high‑energy country rock to close out the night. Together, the bands will carry the celebration from late afternoon into the 10 p.m. finale.
Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy hands‑on history with Macktown Living History, offering demonstrations and stories that connect Rockton’s present to its earliest roots. For those looking to add a little artistic flair to their evening, Reverent Henna will be on site creating intricate, summer‑inspired henna designs.
