Strong spirits: what love does...
Not some weak sentiment on a greeting card, but fierce, wild, all-powerful love.
In challenging times, it is good to know that someone has your back, that you are being protected.
In challenging times, it is good to know that there is someone you can always trust, and who trusts you, too.
In challenging times we need a steady source of hope. Without it, we fall into despair.
In challenging times, we need the strength to persevere, to carry on, to not give in or give up when the way is long and the challenge is difficult.
"Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." the apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 13:7)
Whether it is the threat of war, or personal crisis, or an uncertain future, what you need for the challenges in your life is love. Not some weak sentiment on a greeting card. But the fierce, wild, all-powerful love of God. He offers it to us all. And it is ours as we give ourselves to him.
Have you got this love?
