Strong spirits: that's a great question
Here are five questions with the power to show us important things about ourselves.
You know how when you are in a conversation with a friend, or even a stranger and they ask you something that you fully did not expect to be asked? And the usual response, at least from me is, "Great question!" It either means I have no idea how to answer, or I'm going to have to think about my answer.
In John 1 there are some really "great questions" that I'd like to share briefly with you. Please consider them as they apply to you and your life...
- vs 21: "Who are you?"
- vs 22: "What do you say about yourself?
- vs 25: "Why do you do what you do?"
- vs 38: "What do you want?"
- vs 48: "How do you know me?"
I encourage you to read them in context, to get the full flavor of what was going on in John 1. But even out of context, they have the power, either individually or all together, to help us learn some very important things about ourselves. Take a little time to mull over these. If you don't like your answers, take a little more time to ask God for help in making your answers ones that will please him and bless you.
