Strong spirits: so what?
The story of Easter is a story that continues to grow every day.
Easter is not past. You read that right. It is NOT past.
If the story of Easter is true, as I believe it is, then it is a story that continues to grow every day. As people embrace Jesus and his victory over sin and death, lives are changed, and the world is made better.
You might ask, “So what?” And I would answer, “So everything.” With his death and resurrection, Jesus makes available to us all the resources of heaven and earth, all we need to live the abundant life that he told us he came to give us. (John 10:10) We too can be resurrected from all that is destroying us and given the rich life we were meant to have.
And what does a resurrection require? It requires death. For us, death to our selves, so we can embrace the life God has for us.
Are you ready to die to yourself? Are you ready to embrace the life God offers?
