Strong spirits: lost?

We all get lost in one way or another.  But we need not remain lost.

Have you ever been lost?  Not much fun.  It can be anxious, confusing, scary, and unsettling.  Have you ever been found?  It can be exhilarating, joyful, relieving, freeing.  At one time or another, we all get lost in one way or another.  But we need not remain lost...

The Bible, especially the New Testament, talks a great deal about being spiritually lost, the devastation of that condition, and the solution for that condition.

"We had to celebrate and be happy, because your brother was dead, but now he is alive; he was lost, but now he has been found."  (Luke 15:32) (Jesus telling the parable of the Prodigal Son)

"The son of man came to seek and save the lost." (Luke 19:10) (Jesus talking about himself and his mission)

Spiritual lostness is our condition as long as we are apart from God.  Accepting Jesus' offer to reconnect us to God through repentance and surrender is how we get found.

God would have all to be found... and saved... and celebrated!  Are you lost or found?
