Strong spirits: meat

We need a diverse and growing diet of spiritual food if we are to grow and mature.

If you could eat just one food, all the time, what would it be?  Would that be good for you?  Probably not.  There is nothing more pure and perfect for babies than the mother's milk.  But if that's all the child got for the rest of their life, would it be enough?  No way.

Likewise, spiritually, we need a diverse and growing diet of spiritual food for us to grow and mature. To become all God intends, so we can do all he requires.

Paul the apostle wrote, "...I had to talk to you as though you belonged to this world, as children in the Christian faith.  I had to feed you milk, not solid food, because you were not ready for it..." (1 Corinthians 3:1,2)

Do you spend time reading God's Word?  Studying it?  In worship?  In prayer?  Reading the writings of godly men and women?  There is much we can do to grow our spiritual life, and God expects us to do our part.  How about starting today?  Decide on one step you can take to grow into deeper maturity.  Need help?  Let me know...
