What does it mean to be faithful?  Full of faith, obviously, but what does that mean?  What does that look like?

We all have faith in something or someone.  It isn't just the realm of religion.  But in that realm, specifically in the Christian faith, the Bible has much to say about faith and faithfulness. Here are a few thoughts:

"We live by faith and not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7)

"All that matters is faith working itself out in love. (Galatians 5:6)

"Faith without works is dead"  (James 2:17)

"If we are faithless, he remains faithful, because he cannot deny himself." (2 Timothy 2:13)

"It is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this... is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8)

The Bible is full of heroes of faithfulness. It is also honest in pointing out that all of them were like us in that they struggled with their faith and were at times faithless.  That is encouraging to me!  In fact, struggle makes our faith stronger!

Most importantly, God is always faithful - to his promises, and to his children.  You can count completely on him.  I challenge you to accept the gift of God, and take the step of faith!  It - and you - will grow with each step you take.
