What do you think of when you hear the word "enough"?

It's a word that can be positive or negative, depending on how you use it.  Here are a few things that the Bible tells us about the concept of "enough."

  • Even a little faith can be enough to accomplish great things: "If you had faith as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Pull yourself up and throw yourself in the sea!' and it would obey you." (Jesus in Luke 17:6)- If we have God, we have all that we need: "Lord, you are all that I have, and you give me all that I need.  My future is in your hands." (Psalm 16:5)
  • Best of all, God never says "I've had enough of you!" "It was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

When we get frustrated, we all have said, "Enough!"   God never says that to or about us.  Instead, he wants to make sure we have all that we need.  Let him!
