Strong spirits: control

Whether it is human nature, or the culture we live in, or some other factor, most of us like to be in control.

Do you like to be in control?  To have the final say?  To get your way whenever possible?  Yeah... me too!

Whether it is human nature, or the culture we live in, or some other factor, most of us like to be in control, and some of us are complete control freaks!  And while there are certainly times when our being in control is a good thing, it is quite in contrast with what we learn from the Bible:  "Submit yourselves to one another out of reverence for Christ."  (Paul the apostle in Ephesians 5:21)

Jesus lived his entire life on earth in complete surrender to his Father.  Before we can truly submit to each other, we must do the same... surrender to God.  Once we have surrendered to Him, being submitted to one another won't be so difficult.  Then we will be filled with him, and filled with his love.  I encourage you, be fully surrendered to Him!
