Strong spirits: are you a saint?
It is surrender to him that makes us holy, makes us his disciples, makes us saints.
Want to be a saint? If you are a follower of Jesus, you already are!
From the earliest followers of Jesus to those who have become his followers this very day, it is surrender to him that makes us holy, makes us his disciples, makes us saints.
The life of a disciple/saint isn't easy, but it is the best life this side of heaven. Jesus said to his disciples, "In this world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) Jesus also told his disciples "I have come that you may have life abundantly." (John 10:10). It is his desire for his saints!
Read the accounts of those who sought the Messiah before Jesus came in Hebrews 11. To follow him demands that we live a life of faith. Read the challenges to us as his followers in Hebrews 12, to be like those listed in chapter 11!
We are not saints/disciples for our own well-being alone. No, we are called to be Jesus to a very hurting and needy world. The world needs more saints! How about you?
