South Beloit Veterans Organizations Join Together to Serve Community Breakfast
SOUTH BELOIT, Ill. — South Beloit American Legion Holtz-Hirst Post 288 and VFW Post 11019 came together to serve breakfast for veterans, their families, and community guests at the shared post home located at 14879 Dorr Road in South Beloit.
The event brought together members from both Veterans Service Organizations for a morning of food, fellowship, and outreach. Organizers said the breakfast was an opportunity not only to serve local veterans and their families, but also to show the community what the American Legion and VFW are all about. In recent months, both organizations have continued working together to increase veteran-focused programs, community involvement, and outreach at the South Beloit post. The breakfast drew many attendees and helped generate new interest from veterans who have seen the renewed focus on service, fellowship, and support for veterans and their families. Both posts emphasized that they are first and foremost Veterans Service Organizations dedicated to serving veterans, supporting their families, and strengthening the South Beloit veteran community.
