South Beloit came back from Milledgeville with a 52-0 loss to end their football season
The #11 seeeded South Beloit SOBOs compete against #6 seeded Milledgeville Missilies round 1 2024 I8FA playoffs.

The South Beloit SOBOs took a road trip looking to create something special in Milledgeville Saturday afternoon, Nov. 2, 2024. The weather was beautiful, and the sky was clear. That was the best part of Saturday’s football game between South Beloit and Milledgeville. The Missiles took control early and cruised to a 52-0 win in the opening round game of the 2024 I8FA playoffs.

The SOBOs brought a couple hundred fans to Milledgeville to cheer and hope for a win. Alas,  leading 44-0 at halftime, the 8-win Missiles quieted the SOBOs crowd with their dominant play. The clock on the SOBOs season quickly ran out after the halftime break.  South Beloit struggled all day against the Missiles. They were unable to connect on any passes from junior Landon Reed. The running game struggled as well; the offensive line couldn’t create enough space for senior running back Trudane Peterson.

Trudane Peterson and the other five seniors were part of an incredible time in South Beloit football: four consecutive playoff appearances and 22 wins. Coach Josh Rediske and the staff have set the table and the foundation for the future of SOBOs football.

Thank you to the South Beloit athletic department as well as Laurie and Josh Rediske for the access and help this season.

Temps will be dropping, don't forget to pick up some South Beloit SOBOs spiritwear. Right now they have their spiritwear store open. Click here to see the entire collection.
