South Beloit to honor superintendent with field dedication
On Monday, May 11, 2026, retired superintendent Scott Fisher will throw out the first pitch.
The South Beloit School District will officially name its baseball diamond Fisher Field during a special dedication ceremony this Monday, May 11, at the South Beloit Athletic Complex.
The field is being named in honor of Scott Fisher, a hallmark of the local South Beloit schools for 25 years. Throughout his quarter-century of service, Fisher has held numerous pivotal roles, including superintendent, principal, teacher, and coach.
The booster club will be firing up the grill for free hot dogs for those in attendance.
Event Schedule
The community is encouraged to attend the pre-game festivities:
- 4:20 PM: Official field dedication announcement.
- 4:25 PM: Ceremonial first pitch delivered by Scott Fisher.
- 4:30 PM: Kickoff as the South Beloit "Sobos" host Earlville.
