South Beloit runs past Hiawatha 54-28

Lady SOBOs run past Hiawatha 54-28. South Beloit is now 8-10 overall and 5-1 in the Northeastern conference.
South Beloit jumped on Hiawatha early, starting 9-0. The Hawks were able to bounce back and find themselves down by just two points after one quarter. The second quarter saw the South Beloit SOBOs come out like a Smokey and the Bandit going zero to sixty in 4.6 seconds. Hiawatha had no answer for the 25 points South Beloit put up. Shell shocked Hiawatha, who had scored just two points, found themselves down 38-13 at the half. The third quarter was tighter, but the SOBOs pushed their lead out to 30 after three quarters of action. The 4th and final quarter saw many reserves get game action, and when the final buzzer went off, South Beloit was 54 and Hiawatha 28.
The next game for South Beloit is Thursday night on the South Beloit campus. Tip for the girls' and boys' doubleheader is set for 5:45 p.m.
