SOBOs improve to 3-1 with a 30-6 win
South Beloit gets its first road win on Friday night over Hiawatha.
South Beloit improved to 3-1 on Friday night, Sept. 20, 2024, as they beat Hiawatha 30-6. The defense limited the Hawks offense to just one early TD. Then the SOBOs took over for the remainder of the contest.
South Beloit opened up their scoring in the second quarter with a pick 6 and converted a two-point conversion to make it 8-6. Less then two minutes later, they got a passing TD and another two-point conversion to make the score 16-6 at halftime. The third quarter saw South Beloit get a rushing TD plus a third two-point conversion to make the score 24-6. The fourth quarter saw another passing TD for the SOBOs. The Hawks of Hiawatha stopped the two-point conversion and that was all the scoring Friday night: 30-6 SOBOs.
Next week's schedule sees a home game with 0-4 Ashton-Franklin Center Friday night, Sept. 27, 2024 on the campus of South Beloit Senior High School. Kickoff is set for 7 pm.
