Siepert & Co. LLP. has retained a stellar reputation since the firm was first established in Beloit, Wisconsin  in 1949. Many municipalities, businesses and individuals have benefited from Siepert’s expertise in a welcoming environment. 

H.G. Siepert was the founder of H.G. Siepert & Company, which later became Siepert & Co.,LLP. 

Siepert is made up of professionals who are  administrative assistants, paraprofessionals, enrolled agents, Non-CPA accountants, and CPAs who are ready to help businesses and individuals with their accounting and tax needs.

Brian Barnhart, Mark Kerman, Michael Phalin, and Dena Bonnier are the firm’s partners who are joined by  full-time, part-time, and seasonal team members, with a full team of 26 qualified individuals who are ready to assist clients. 

Siepert also offers internship opportunities for accounting students that are interested in getting hands-on experience as part of their education.

From the outset, Siepert built a business model centered on promotion from within and all

partners began their careers as team members of the firm, working their way up through

demonstrated skills, abilities, and commitment to client service. This approach ensured that

leadership at the firm was deeply connected to the firm’s values and client-focused mission.
Over the decades, the firm expanded from its Beloit roots to include offices in Sycamore,

Illinois  in 1974 and Roscoe, Illinois  in 1994. 

In the fall of 2025, the Beloit and Roscoe offices merged into a modernized office building located in Rockton, Illinois. 

“It was a difficult decision to move the business out of Beloit, but the benefits of the merger offered increased efficiency and morale to have the team all in the same building, improved accessibility for our clients,and reduced overhead costs related to maintaining two separate office buildings,” said partner Dena Bonnier.

In conjunction with the Stateline Chamber of Commerce the Siepert team welcomed the public, family, and friends to a Business After hours event on Thursday, July 9, 2026 where All enjoyed appetizers, desserts,beverages and an open door to strong networking and making new connections. 

Prior to a ribbon cutting, Stateline  Chamber President Ryan Rydell said,” I was driving into town and have been down this road many, many times. Something I have always recognized around here is the Siepert building. It reminded me of how many businesses have come and gone and how many have stayed and have reinvested in the community in times it might be easier not to.

With Siepert combining  their offices and investing here in this building and having everybody here to celebrate that, I think that means something, it means something to the stateline area and to Rockton specifically.”

Rydell added, “ It is a shining light to what these people do here for the business in this  community.”

Managing partner, Mark Kerman said, “Thank you all for the opportunity to serve you each and every day and to be a part of your lives and to hopefully lift you up in what it is that you do, to help lift your businesses and to help you build your wealth.”

Today, Siepert  Co., LLP continues to operate from the Rockton, IL and Sycamore, IL locations.
