Sharon Lynn Grosch (1960-2023)

Sharon Lynn Grosch was a lifelong member of the Roscoe community. She was born in Rockford, Illinois, on April 11, 1960, the daughter of Robert L. and Darlene F. (Hocking) Bergeron.

Sharon worked hard throughout her life.  Her mother passed away when she was 12 years old.  Sharon had to drop out of school to help raise her younger brothers. She received her GED later in life. She married Tim Grosch on August 13, 1993, in Roscoe, Illinois.

Sharon had various employers and positions throughout her life, including medical billing at Apria Healthcare.  She worked in medical records at Fair Oaks Nursing Home and was a secretary at Forshay Development and K & H Exteriors. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, collecting buttons and hummingbird decor.

Sharon passed away at the age of 63, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, stepson Jeff Grosch, her dog Ruby and cat Annie.

She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Saunders of Beloit, WI, sister-in-law, Kathy Bergeron of Machesney Park; brothers David (Jina) Bergeron of Roscoe, Greg (Lisa) Bergeron of Loves Park, Gary (Carlene) Bergeron of Roscoe, John (Deann) Bergeron of Roscoe, Mike Bergeron of Beloit, Jeff Bergeron of Beloit and Tim (Michelle) Bergeron of Rockton. She is predeceased by her parents; stepson Joel Grosch; brothers Kevin Bergeron of Roscoe, Bruce Bergeron of Roscoe, Robert Bergeron of Machesney Park and Dennis Bergeron of Roscoe.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2023, from 12-4 p.m., at the Roscoe VFW, 11385 2nd St, Roscoe, IL 61073.
