Senior Living Expo April 10 2026 10 am - 2 pm Rockton American Legion Brings Resources, Education, and Community Connection to Rockton
Stateline Events’ Stacy Moore says the goal is simple: create a space where seniors “can gather information, ask questions, and feel supported.”
ROCKTON — On Friday, April 10, 2026, the Rockton American Legion in downtown Rockton will open its doors to something this our community has always done well: showing up for one another. The Senior Living Expo, hosted by Stateline Events, runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers a full slate of education, engagement, and neighbor‑to‑neighbor connection for seniors, caregivers, and families.
What makes this event stand out isn’t just the schedule — though it’s packed — but the partners behind it. Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center, serving as Silver Sponsor, and the Northwestern Illinois Area Agency on Aging (NIAAA), the Bronze Sponsor, are two organizations deeply woven into the fabric of senior support in our region. Their backing helps ensure the expo remains free and accessible to everyone. As noted by Stateline Events they extend “a special thank you to event sponsors, including Silver Sponsor Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center and Bronze Sponsor Northwestern Illinois Area Agency on Aging”.
Doors open at 10 a.m., followed by a welcome message recognizing sponsors and exhibitors. From there, the day unfolds with the kind of programming that blends practicality with enjoyment. Life Balance Wellness leads the first educational session at 10:30 a.m., focusing on strategies for senior health and well‑being. Bingo follows at 11:15 a.m., offering a little friendly competition and a few prizes to sweeten the morning.

Light snacks and vendor engagement run from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., giving attendees time to explore the expo floor and connect with local organizations. One of the most important sessions of the day begins at 12:15 p.m., when the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office presents an hour‑long seminar on recognizing and avoiding senior‑targeted scams — a topic that grows more relevant every year. The press release highlights this as an opportunity to gain “important information on recognizing and avoiding scams targeting seniors”.
The afternoon wraps with final vendor visits and a grand giveaway featuring a Ninja Chopper.
Stateline Events’ Stacy Moore says the goal is simple: create a space where seniors “can gather information, ask questions, and feel supported.” That’s exactly what this expo promises — a day built on community, care, and the kind of connection Rockton does best.
