Chief Jamie Evans swore in Ryan Sarver as the newest member of the Village of Roscoe Police Dept.  Sarver will be attending the Police Academy in Decatur, Il, for the next three months and will then return to Roscoe for a three 1/2 month training period. Sarver's wife Bri and children Liam and Callie are by his side.

Ryan Sarver became the newest member of the Village of Roscoe Police Department, Tuesday evening, April 19, prior to the Village meeting. His wife Bri pinned on his badge with the assistance of his children Callie and Liam.

Sarver has been a full time paramedic with the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District for the last 11 years. He said he decided to change his career path and will continue to serve the Roscoe community.

Sarver was sworn in by Chief Jamie Evans.  His family and several HRFD personnel, including Chief Don Shoevlin, were on hand as a show of respect and encouragement.

The new officer will be heading to the Police Academy in Decatur, IL, where he will put in 560 hours over a three-and-a-half month period.

Following his time at the academy, Sarver will return to Roscoe where he will join 15 current police officers, and begin a one-year probation period.

Several members of the Harlem-Roscoe Fire District attended the swearing-in ceremony for Ryan Sarver, who is the newest member of the Village of Roscoe Police Department.  Sarver was a member of HRFD for the last 11 years.
